Pastor Dwayne M. Barefield
Pastor Dwayne Barefield is a native of Joliet, IL and attended Joliet Junior College where he obtained an Associates of Arts degree. He entered and graduated from Lewis University (Romeoville, Illinois) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political and Social Science. He minored in Business. While understanding the need for continuous higher education, in December 2010, Pastor Barefield obtained a Master’s of Divinity from the Historical Black College, Shaw University, located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
As a young man growing up at All Nations Church of God in Christ (Joliet, Illinois), Pastor Barefield knew that God had a purpose for his life. In the fall of 1998, he became obedient and accepted God’s call to the ministry. Pastor Barefield was placed under “watch care” and attended the C.H. Mason Bible Institute (Chicago Heights, Illinois). After completing, he was ordained in September 1, 2000, by Bishop Robert R. Sanders, who served as prelate of the Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Illinois.
From 2011 to 2013 Elder Barefield was an Associate Elder at Abundant Life Christian Center C.O.G.I.C. (Bishop Stenneth E. Powell Raleigh, NC) and All Nations C.O.G.I.C. (Bishop Robert R. Sanders Joliet, IL), his gifts have been demonstrated in a variety of capacities over his years in ministry, to include the following: Executive Board Member, Youth Sunday School Teacher, College Ministry Coordinator and Director of Ministerial Affairs.

Elder Barefield resided in Indianapolis, IN from 2014 to 2016 where he worked at Job Corps as a counselor and later the manager of Career Affairs. February of 2016 he was promoted to Director of Admissions & Placement Services with Job Corps., which relocated him to St. Louis, MO. In August of 2017 Elder Barefield returned to Joliet working for Job Corps.
Bishop Robert R. Sanders appointed Elder Barefield as Youth Pastor at All Nations in September of 2017 and then Pastor in November of 2017. Pastor Barefield lives by the motto, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
